Reserve at Gearhart Oregon

The Reserve at Gearhart is located at the North end of the Gearhart city limits, adjacent to Gearhart Golf Links and The Highlands of Gearhart. The Reserve was what I would consider the first large scale development in the area that looks like it belongs on the Oregon coast. 130 lots total, most of them are larger than 10,000 sqft and some over 20,000 sqft leaving plenty of room for the construction of a custom beach home and still have room left for landscaping and a driveway.

The Reserve at Gearhart does have an active HOA, with dues currently (as of Dec. 2010) $540 bi-annually after an initial contribution at the time of purchase. Another important item to note when looking at lots or new homes at The Reserve is the community sewage system. It functions like a regular septic system for the most part, but on a much larger scale. Each home is equipped with a holding tank that is installed on the lot with a pump, which then transfers the ‘goods’ to the community system.

The location of The Reserve at Gearhart is hard to beat. The development abuts two golf courses to the West and South, and nature conservancy land to the East. Just a short distance West from the entrance to The Reserve is the ocean beach, which you can walk or drive on. The Reserve also includes a community park with a gazebo, fire pit, bbq and a playgound. Also included in the community is the community center, which also includes the community mail center. The community center is available for private functions as well and community events.
